TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

 Thank you for choosing to undergo your treatment at SKN:AID Clinic. The health and wellbeing of our clients is at the heart of all we do. Our priority is providing you, as our client, with the highest quality personalised treatment. These Terms should be read along with our Privacy Policy and are aimed to give you a guide to the process you are about to undertake to allow you to undergo your treatment with peace of mind.

If you are a new client - you will be booked for consultation first. Booking fee is chargeable £50. It's redeemable towards your future treatments. Please make sure you complete all forms sent to your email address prior to your appointment. Appointments available at St Albans, Borehamwood, Billericay & Brentwood. Clinic in all locations are via appointment only. 

 

Appointments are available Monday - Saturday 9am - 8pm

Private appointments are available at the comfort of your home. Please contact me directly to book your appointment as availability is limited, minimum cost of your treatments is £150.00. Please note home visit come with additional charge of £20.00. Parking must be available and in walking distance from your home.

 

 

Consultation

Consultations are a necessary step to start your journey with SKN:AID.

 

Most of the treatments are prescription and medical-grade and might be changing skin behaviour on the cellular level. During the consultation I must throughly look through your medical and cosmetic history, talk about your concerns, analyse your skin and tissue, hair and body.

Those details will be securely documented.

 

I will talk through the options, build the treatment plan to give you the best outcome possible. Only that will allow me to use a multimodality approach to help you achieve your goal and target your concerns.

​

Consultation last 45-60 minutes and they are free of charge.

​

You are required to give written consent to a treatment. You may withdraw that consent at any point or terminate your treatment verbally. I might do, if necessary, discuss your treatment or share your details with any third party.

Treatments  

All my treatments are designed to address skin and tissue concerns, skin conditions, structure and texture. It is highly recommended to repeat your treatment every month or as advised to maintain your skins health.

Prior to your treatment/procedure you will  receive pre care advice with your booking and after care advice with a skin care pack after your treatment.

​

My facials take from 60 to 90 minutes (depending on modalities used) and include face&scalp massage, LED Dermalux light therapy and possible other light/heat based therapies. Most of my treatments are based on Zo Medical, Clinicare, Mesoesthetics, Medik8, Filorga, NFTC and other cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

It’s an ultimate experience combining medical grade strength treatment with a holistic approach.

My skincare products and equipment are carefully resourced, dermatologically tested, clinically tested and approved.

​

Please could I politely ask that you do not bring your children or pets along to your appointment with us unless they are supervised by another adult. Children and pets will not be allowed into treatment rooms for health and safety reasons.

Reviews

A review is an appointment considered within 2 weeks (14 days) post original appointment to: correct, top up or review your previous treatment.

 

After 2 weeks if any treatment performed or repeated it will be chargeable in full and will not be refunded. However, treatment reviews may be carried out between 2 and 3 weeks following treatment on practitioner advice.

 

Reviews will never be performed when there is evidence of swelling, bruising, inflammation or pain. One treatment review only will be performed per treatment and never outside the 3 weeks period following treatment. Reviews refer to the treatment delivered and include the agreed volumes and doses of any used and paid for product.

Additional services or products will be charged accordingly.

If in your treatments require PATCH TEST  it has to be booked in advanced maximum 48 hours prior to your treatments. SKN:AID reserve the right not to perform the treatment if patch test will come out negative or cause unwanted reaction.

Patch tests are free of charge.

Safeguarding 

I’m fully compliant with current Government Instructions.

My equipment and rooms are carefully sterilised between every Client. I get regular tests, vaccinations and health checks and make sure I keep all my clients safe.

If you have any symptoms of any virus  please let me know and we will reschedule your appointment. I know it’s frustrating at times, but it’s what we have to do to ensure best practice and safety for us all. 

 

 

Payments 

Payments can be made via card, cash, PayPal, bank transfer or through online payment link.

​

Cheques and American Express Credit Card payments are not accepted. 

 

 

Cancellations

Due to respect for me and my clients time as well as limited availability, cancellation fees will apply. The time you book for your treatment is dedicated to you only.

 

I need minimum 48 hour notice in order to reassign your appointment time to another client. If you cannot make your appointment or want to reschedule it to another date you must do it within that time frame.

 

Missed appointments, arriving late (15 minutes or more) to your appointment or failure to give the required notice will result in a £50 cancellation fee being charged.

If you are on any course of treatment and fail to attend or are late (15 minutes or more) and the treatment cannot be performed, that treatment will be automatically deducted from the course. Please note that if you do not attend an appointment, or give short notice (less than 48 hours), or no notice, I may decline to offer you a further appointment.

​

Courses of treatments, vouchers or other purchases made in advance are non refundable and valid for 6 months.

You must book your treatments within that time.

 

Due to the nature of the treatments you can reschedule the same appointments up to 3 times.  

Refunds   

There will be no refunds on any treatment delivered.

However, if you change your mind about any treatment purchased (not delivered) within 14 days, I am happy to exchange it for an alternative treatment or product or offer you a refund.

I do not offer refund on skincare products sold due to hygiene reasons.

Discounts 

I so appreciate your recommendation!

If you refer a new client to me, and they book and attend their appointment with me, you will receive 20% off the cost of your next appointment.

Complaints

Aesthetic treatments , aesthetic medicine and holistic treatments offered by me are not an exact science and therefore no guarantee can be given as to the precise results of any treatment undertaken.

 

Every effort is made to ensure you have the best possible outcome, but as with all aesthetic and medical procedures, there can be a spectrum of results.

 

Results vary from person to person and depend on several factors, some of which cannot always be predicted. The predicted realistic outcome may be different from your expectations. I pride myself on treating all of my clients appropriately, compassionately and fairly.

 

If, however, in the unlikely event that you have an issue with any matter in relation to your treatment, you are entitled to make a complaint and I will be happy to provide you with my complaints policy and come with a satisfying solution.

Please let me know if you’re unhappy before making a complaint. I’m here to help!

Complications

Although rare, some procedures might end with some unexpected complications. I will of course, treat these to the best of our abilities and knowledge. If you require to see me urgently, you will have to travel to see me in person.

 

In the very unlikely event of a complication being more serious and you needing further treatment outside of my expertise, arrangements can be made for you to be treated in the NHS or if you wish, privately at your own cost.

 

Please note it is possible that any private medical insurance may not cover complications arising from cosmetic work.

Liability 

I will not be liable in contract, tort or otherwise for any economic loss (including, without limitation, loss of profit), or for any other special, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of, or in connection with, its provision of any goods and/or services to you - the client.

 

It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide with all relevant medical details prior to each treatment.

 

I will not be liable for any damage that occurs as a result of your failure to disclose such details. You will agree to comply with all instructions and/or recommendations given to you by myself or on my behalf, regarding the before and after care of a treated area.
